Previously I owned the WHR-G300N and the WZR-HP-G300NH, and by far this is the best yet, and not just because of the obvious range/speed benefit because of the antennas, which by the way, are HUGE in person, but because of one particular piece of info I've noticed on my wireless status page. In the Wireless Packet Info, on the previous two routers, transmit errors would slowly accumulate over a few days until it was well into the hundreds, but on this router, it's been running for about 5 days s ... traight since I've received it, and still reads "No errors" for both transmit and receive. This is a different firmware build of DD-WRT on this model than on the other two, guess they fixed it. More >

PLEASE NOTE UPDATE BELOW.FEBRUARY 2012 REVIEW: I have been using this unit for about three months (purchased Dec 2011). The version of DD-WRT (17140) pre-installed on the router constantly drops connections, fumbles authentications, and supports only slightly better range (in N mode) than my old WRT54G. I tried an alpha release (17798), which was much better for connections / authentications, but had dramatically reduced power, much worse than my old WRT54G.I have called and e-mailed with custom ... er service several times, and tried a number of different procedures to try to get it to work better, all to no avail. Customer service is outsourced, and with one notable exception that I found, those manning the phones don't know what's going on with these products, let alone how to fix them--nor do they seem to care. The website hints at the possibility of support escalation, but after repeated requests for this, it has never been granted. More >

The thing works awesome.Allowed me to stream netflix from two rooms over through three walls and one being a solid foundation wall, and it streamed flawlessly in full HD.My internet connection sits right at about 10mb/s-12mb/s when directly connected through ethernet. With this wireless router, I could hold consistent speeds of 6mb/s everywhere I went throughout my house.I would recommend and I would buy again, great product!
